Volunteering

"No Act of Kindness, No Matter How Small, Is Ever Wasted" - AESOP

Meet other great families within Sherwood Park while helping the Wolverines on and off the field.

The SCMFA Wolverines Football Association operates solely on the dedication and efforts of volunteers. The association is led by a Board of Directors, who are elected during the Annual General Meeting each year. The Wolverines Board functions as a governance board, convening a minimum of 10 times per year to make decisions regarding administrative matters, program policies and procedures.

The growth and success of the Strathcona County Minor Football Association (SCMFA) Wolverines as a club can be attributed to the dedicated individuals who have generously contributed their time and skills in developing a thriving football program. The tireless efforts of numerous parent volunteers make it possible for us to offer our programs to countless players each year. Engaging in this meaningful work yields wonderful outcomes. Moreover, it provides a fantastic opportunity to forge connections, form new friendships, and share one's unique talents within a supportive community.

Volunteers play a vital role in the success of all minor sports organizations. By offering your time as a volunteer, you not only contribute to the club but also show support for your child in their chosen activity. Your involvement will enrich your child's experience and provide you with the chance to contribute to creating an enjoyable and memorable season. As the saying goes, "many hands make light work." Within our organization, there is a wide array of volunteer opportunities available for families to choose from.
