U9 (Novice)

Our U9 (formerly Novice) Program is for those younger players who would like to learn football. The focus for the Novice team is to develop skills with a non-contact environment.  The Novice Program is open for boys and girls aged 6, 7, or 8 that calendar year. Each season we'll have multiple Novice Teams based on the number of registrations, the teams play 5 vs. 5 and use the Wilson K2 Ball size. This is the same ball used at the youngest organized competitive level of the game, ideal for ages 6-8.  Game play is setup on a quarter of the football field.  One weekend game and one practice per week (TBD each season) and will remain that night throughout the season. 

Novice Program begins mid August, with league games starting after the Labour Day weekend and wraps up mid October.

Practices will begin mid August. Majority of practices will be held at the Brentwood Elementary field, in Sherwood Park Alberta.
